Until we want something more, It cannot reach us
Sometimes, it is only suffering that will awaken us to this more authentic want.
We can learn to look upon hardship as an opportunity to transform ourselves.
It is natural to want to avoid pain and find pleasure. But until we reach the sanctuary of inner Truth, God communion, we are vulnerable to all the vicissitudes of life. There is no lasting, perfect refuge in this world of change.
But the perfect refuge is here with us at all times. It is the fundamental nature of reality, therefore, it is never missing or obscured. It is the simplest thing to fall into. It is effort to avoid it, to continue not seeing it.
Enlightenment or liberation is the most natural thing at all. It is simply being, as such, as it is right now.
From this simple being everything flows. All things find their proper place and proportion. This is not a thinking process. It is an effortless, natural unfolding. The Absolute has no resistance, is utterly without obstruction or obstacle to hinder its activity.
Therefore, everything is happening perfectly in accord with its Will. We are happening perfectly in accord with It’s Will.
To awaken to this perfect accord is the greatest treasure, the wish-granting jewel.
