Can you tell me what you mean by “social media dilemma?”

Cauvin: Social Media is a wonderful phenomenon, it has given us all our 15 minutes of fame. Its addicting allure allows us to have a stage for our opinions, our thoughts and our beliefs. Communication has never been so easy, quick and widespread.

We are all able to flex our individuality with little to no recourse.

However, it comes with drawbacks, some overt and some hidden. So we need to use this tool like any other, with efficacy and also with trepidation, because it can be both useful and harmful in inexperienced hands.

Tyson: The bottom line is people have very little control or even awareness of the near permanent record they create online.

Cauvin: Yes, very little control. Social Media has pioneered data extraction for the purpose of commerce and they have done an amazingly good job of understanding our habits, preferences and tendencies. Their data bases keep
